Sourcing & Sustainability
My Commitment to Natural, Ethical, and Sustainable Herbal Products
Everything I create starts with one core belief: what you put on and into your body should be as pure, natural, and responsibly sourced as possible.

Sourcing and sustainability aren’t just trends—they are fundamental to how I choose ingredients, formulate products, and build trust with you as a customer. When you choose Herbal Healing, you’re not just choosing a product—you’re choosing a process that respects both your wellbeing and the environment.

I create natural herbal and organic products in New Zealand using sustainably sourced, high-quality ingredients. Every essential oil blend and most herbal teas are handcrafted in small batches to ensure purity, consistency, and effectiveness.
I prioritise organically sourced ingredients and work with trusted suppliers to support both your wellbeing and the environment. As a Food Hygiene Certified producer, I follow strict standards to ensure safe, reliable products.
Each product is thoughtfully made using traditional herbal knowledge to support sleep, relaxation, balance and much more—naturally.

Thoughtful Sourcing
I take a careful and considered approach to sourcing every ingredient used in Herbal Healing products.
That means prioritising:
-
Certified organic ingredients where available
-
Wild-crafted herbs from trusted environments
-
Locally grown New Zealand botanicals whenever possible
-
Reputable suppliers who align with ethical and sustainable practices
Each ingredient is selected not only for its effectiveness but also for its origin, purity, and environmental impact.
For example, herbs used in our sleep tea blends—such as chamomile, lemon balm, lavender, and valerian—are sourced to ensure they retain their natural potency while being grown or harvested responsibly.
Supporting New Zealand Growers and Suppliers
Wherever possible, I prioritise sourcing from within New Zealand. Supporting local growers allows me to:
-
Reduce environmental impact from transportation
-
Maintain closer relationships with suppliers
-
Ensure higher quality control and freshness
-
Support sustainable agricultural practices within NZ
New Zealand has a unique natural environment, and I believe in working with it—not against it.
When local sourcing isn’t possible, I carefully select international suppliers who meet strict ethical and sustainability standards.
Wild-Crafted, Certified, Organic Ingredients and essential oils
Many of the herbs used in Herbal Healing products are either certified organic or wild-crafted.

What does this mean?
-
Organic: Grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or harmful chemicals
-
Wild-crafted: Harvested from natural environments in a way that preserves plant populations and ecosystems
Wild-crafting, when done responsibly, allows us to access highly potent plant materials while respecting the natural balance of the environment.
Production Approach
Herbal Healing products are made in small batches, which allows for:
-
Reduced waste
-
Greater quality control
-
Fresh, effective products
Conscious Packaging Choices
Packaging is an important part of sustainability, and I’m continually working to improve this area.
Current efforts include:
-
Using recyclable materials where possible
-
Minimising excess packaging
-
Choosing practical packaging that preserves product quality and shelf life
I recognise that packaging is an evolving space, and I am committed to improving sustainability as better solutions become available.
Clean, Natural Essential Oil Formulations
Another key part of sustainability is what we leave out. Herbal Healing products are formulated without:
-
Synthetic fragrances
-
Harsh chemicals
-
Unnecessary fillers
Instead, I focus on simple, effective formulations using organic, premium quality and ethically sourced ingredients be it the organic essential oil ingredients or herbs. This approach supports not only environmental sustainability but also skin, internal systems and body compatibility.
